Fantastic . Heavy Handed is what every smash burger joint in Los Angeles should aspire to. Ordered the double cheese smash burger fries combo and their soft served dipped cookies and cream soft serve ice cream cone. The double smashed burger ; smashed thin, nice crusty rim, and super juicy. Bookended all by a soft, but firm bun. No mess like a lot of other places: Fries were nicely salted and crunchy. And if you think their burgers are amazing, their soft served dipped ice cream is an even more impressive treat! They offer a variety of dipped flavors such as chocolate, cookies and cream, strawberry, and butterscotch. All homemade. Soft serve was smooth and creamy, and the cookies and cream offered a nice thin shell. Tested kinda like the hersheys cookie and cream casing you find at a convenient store. The ice cream is a must , and even though Heavy Handed is known for their burgers the real gem is the ice cream. Forgive me for the lack of burger/fries photos.

One of my favorite smash burger places in la! So flavor and is not too greasy!! Some of the other popular burger places in LA can get too greasy imo. I would recommend getting an extra Heavy Sauce on the side for your burder, the sauces is just okay with the fries!

I was eager to try this place after seeing it on Eaters LA. Not too sure if I hyped myself up going in but I thought the burger and fries were just okay. Don't get me wrong, they were good but I wasn't blown away. There are lots of smash burger places now that wherever you go, they're all relatively good. I was hoping that heavy handed would be something special. Got their dipped soft serve afterwards and that was actually the highlight of my dinner

Perfect spot for a Saturday night out after drinking. These burgers will satisfy those late night cravings. They are mouthwateringly good as well as the perfectly crispy fries. We even tried their dipped soft serve which the chocolate coating really elevated the soft serve experience. The only edit would be that they close early at 10pm on a Saturday!?

With so much hype around smash burgers and Heavy handed being lauded on social media as one of the best burgers in LA, I had to try it. To sum the experience, it was a solid and good burger but certainly not the best I have ever had. I ordered a double and it was reasonably priced at $12. The order came pretty quickly and settled on one of the outdoor tables. The bun was soft, the meat patties tasty but the big issue was the level of fat that left a weird taste in my mouth. The combo of melted cheese and sweet sauce was oozing all over and you could say : It is a good thing but it was too much of the good thing. Maybe they were heavy handed on the sauce! I will try it again in a different location and write a new review, maybe this one experience was a fluke. For now, the "in and out" double double is still hard to beat and my number one so far.

Best burger in LA? Well, no, but there is a lot to like here. The single burger is a good one but not huge. I would recommend ordering a double to take full advantage of the meat flavor. The cheese, sauce, and pickles make the burger a messy delight. The bun is nice and soft. I do wish the meat itself just had a tad more flavor. The fries are some of the best I have ever had. They are crisp and very well-seasoned. And the basket is enough to feed about three or four people, seriously. The draft beer and wine menu is top notch. If you have a sweet tooth, the soft serve is very nice and make sure to get it dipped. I HIGHLY recommend the butterscotch dip. It's amazing. But if you get a dip, your ice cream will melt like crazy so fair warning. Patio seating only, both covered and uncovered. There is metered parking behind the restaurant. A dollar and twenty five cents an hour is a STEAL in LA. Almost five stars. Very close.

After grabbing some boba we got hungry and headed on over to Heavy Handed, and I have to say it's the real deal. We got a double cheeseburger and what sets this burger apart is it's made from short rib, which gives it a unique and incredibly tasty flavor. I can't stress this enough try it for yourself and you'll understand why this place is so popular. The beefy flavors from the short ribs really shine through in every bite, making it one of the most delicious burgers l've ever had. If you love burgers as much as I do, Heavy Handed is a must try.

10 out of 10 burgers in Santa Monica! Came here for lunch today with a friend and was so excited to try Heavy Handed since it's been on my bucket list forever. For the burgers, you can either order a single, double or triple burger and if you want fries and a drink, there's the combo options. I ordered the single burger with the combo while my friend ordered the double with the combo. The portions were huge and you get so much fries with the burger. My one recommendation is that two people can definitely a combo with fries and one orders a burger since the portion was so big. Service was great and our food came out in a great time. I appreciate how they give you the buzzer so no matter where you are sitting, you will know when your food is available. Since this is located on Santa Monica, this restaurant has an upbeat and lively vibe. It's definitely a fun street and I would check this place out and the others around it. There's parking in the back as well on the street. I highly recommend!
